Chapter 5... Vedauwoo

The Beautiful Vedauwoo...

Brandon, Jessi and I jumped in their car and headed up to Vedauwoo for a climb/camping trip. I heard the stories and seen the pictures of Vedauwoo, but nothing really prepared me for the beauty of this place. I was blown away. It was a constant feeling of amazement for the earth while i was there. Upon arriving we just got out of the car and stared ahead of us at all rock looking back...

We set up camp and explored the boulders. I had a guide book for the bouldering in the area... I quickly realized that a bouldering guide for the area is cool, but not at all necessary. It was everywhere. We walked around with a crash pad and shoes and jumped on anything that looked worth it... which was everything we saw.



Besides all of the climbing... There was a lake in the middle of all these boulders for some relax time. We grabbed the dogs and some beers and laid out by the water. It was really refreshing. The high sun was demanding us to jump in the water and enjoy the area. So we did just that. I built a sculpture, and bathed in the lake.



Over all it was everything I could have asked for. I wanted to stay for an additional week, but bouldering and camping alone wasn't really sounding all that great. So I packed up with Brandon and Jessi, and we headed back to boulder. We climbed hard and played hard for a good while in Vedauwoo, and we were all glad to get back to boulder.
